Antique Tractor Show

As most of you may know, Nathan and Nicholas are obsessed with tractors. They love all kinds of tractors but I am sure if you asked them what their favorite kind of tractor is they would say "John Deere". They know different models, what the different tractors do, and they especially love to watch the John Deere DVD's. You read right, they make John Deere DVD's, can you believe it. I guess our boys are not the only John Deere fanatics around. Well, as luck would have it I read in ParentingNH that there was going to be an Antique Tractor show in Eliot, ME which isn't far from Dover at all. There was no way we would miss this opportunity to see Nathan and Nicholas' eyes light up, and the absolute amazement on their faces. We arrived around 1pm, and even I was amazed at all the tractors that were being displayed. At 2pm they had a tractor parade, which was fun to watch. Then there was a tractor pulling a train of kids, and of course our boys wanted a ride. It brought them all around the farm grounds, the boys actually didn't mind sitting next to each other. At first Nick wanted to climb out, but once they got going they really seemed to be enjoying themselves. Infact, they wanted to go again, but with each ride costing $4.oo we figured one ride was enough. We walked around some more then figured we had seen all that we set out to see and decided to head home. It was hot and humid, and we did our best to pump water into the boys, but when we got home Nathan told me that his head hurt, then was saying his belly hurt and that he was going to "throw up soon" , so I grabbed a mixing bowl and sure enough, everything came out. He did manage to get most of it in the bowl, and when he was done exclaimed "it looks like soup", yeah not any soup I would want to eat. Shortly after his regurgitation he was back to his normal self. I am guessing it was either the french fries he ate at the tractor show or dehydration. Either way he felt better afterwards and you never would have known it to look at him. All in all it was a great day and as Dan and I were saying our goodnights they were still talking about the tractors at the show. Can you guess what their dreams were about?

Tractors and Beach Boys

Here is a picture from Trentin's 1st birthday party. Nicholas was very protective of this John Deere Gator, even though it was Trentin's. He didn't want anyone to sit next to him or even have anything to do with being near it. Trentin was the exception, maybe it was because it was his birthday or because Nick knew he was the rightful owner of this beautiful piece of machinery!

Here are some hats from Trentin's birthday which the boys loved wearing. They were being construction workers. I was lucky to catch this quick picture because not long after I took it the teasing began.

At Wildwood Beach with Tickle (this is Nick's name for my dad). It was a great beach, just the right size and not very many people. The boys were able to swim to their hearts content.

Nick wouldn't part with the John Deere trucks that Tickle had given to him before we walked down to the beach!

Here is Nathan midstride. I think he may be a marathoner like his father after all! We had a great time and were able to cool off briefly while there. Luckily it is a bit cooler today, although it is raining a little bit. That's New England for you!

Sandbox

During the busy holiday weekend Dan's dad made his way up to New Hampshire to deliver a sandbox for the boys. They of course love the color (john deere green) and couldn't wait to play in it. This sandbox will get much use from our boys!

July 4th Weekend

Well it has been a while since my last post. I had misplaced the camera, but have since found it. We had a very busy 4th of July weekend. Dan took the whole week off from work which was nice. He got some stuff done around the house, and spent some quality time with the boys. On July 3rd we headed down to Cape Cod to visit with Dan's Aunts, Uncle, and Cousins. We all had a blast and I can't wait to go back! On July 4th we made our way to the Lakes Region for the fireworks display at Opechee Park. The boys loved it and Nick keeps asking for more. On Saturday we headed back to the Lake to take a ride on Bumpa's pontoon boat and watch the Boat Parade on Lake Winnisquam. Sunday was pretty much our recovery day which was needed by all! I hope everyone had a great holiday and that you enjoy the pics!
